The University of California has long been one of the nation’s most ambitious sustainability-focused university systems. Through this new agreement, UC Systemwide Procurement has made Zabble Zero available to all 10 UC campuses, six UC health centers and the UC Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, giving each location access to an end-to-end waste management and workflow automation platform designed to intelligently track waste service levels and contamination for measurable zero waste outcomes.
Building on a Proven Foundation
The systemwide expansion builds on results demonstrated at UC San Francisco (UCSF), where Zabble has been a trusted service provider since 2019. Spanning five campuses, UCSF deployed Zabble’s AI-powered Zabble Zero™ platform to streamline data collection and gain granular visibility into waste streams, contamination levels and disposal patterns.
The impact has been significant. Not only has UCSF seen a 100 percent return on its investment in the platform, but waste-contamination incidents have been reduced by 40 percent through daily waste audits and real-time stakeholder communications, and teams have saved over 90 percent in time due to automated analysis of hauling invoices and spreadsheets.
